Rooted in the Community. Driven to Serve. Ready to Lead.
Michelle Gray is a lifelong conservative, a respected educator, and a proven leader with deep roots in Southern Colorado. Born in Pontiac, Michigan to first-generation college graduates — her mother, an elementary school teacher, and her father, an accountant for General Motors — Michelle learned the value of education, hard work, and service from a young age.
Forty years ago, Michelle and her husband made Colorado home. They settled in Pueblo West in 1993, where they raised six children and became deeply involved in their church, schools, and local community. Today, Michelle is running for Colorado House District 60 because she knows this region — and its values — deserve a stronger voice in the State Capitol.
Michelle earned her teaching degree from the University of Southern Colorado, and later earned two Master’s Degrees from Colorado State University–Pueblo. While serving as a Math Specialist for Pueblo City Schools, she completed the National Institute of School Leadership program and earned her Principal License from the University of Colorado–Colorado Springs.
As a Master Teacher of Mathematics, Michelle worked closely with teachers, administrators, and community leaders to ensure accountability and transparency in education. She served on the Budget Oversight Committee for Pueblo City Schools, helping to balance budgets and protect taxpayer dollars — all while advocating for students and families.
Michelle also knows how to win tough political battles.
As Chair of the Pueblo County Republican Party, she led the historic effort that flipped Pueblo County red for the first time in nearly 50 years — helping elect conservatives across the board. That kind of smart, strategic leadership is exactly what House District 60 needs.
Outside the classroom and campaign trail, Michelle is a passionate volunteer. Her favorite community role has been serving as Costume Mistress for the Sangre de Cristo School of Dance, where she brought creativity, innovation, and mentorship to an unexpected stage — even traveling to Las Vegas to master her craft and teach others.
Now, Michelle is bringing that same creativity, attention to detail, and results-oriented mindset to the race for State Representative. She’s running to protect parental rights, restore fiscal discipline, improve education, defend our rural economy, and bring real conservative leadership to Southern Colorado.
Michelle Gray for HD60
Conservative. Capable. Community-Focused.
Michelle Gray isn’t a career politician, a problem-solver. With a head for numbers and a heart for service, Michelle spent her career in rural and suburban classrooms helping students succeed. She’s seen up close how political agendas and out-of-touch mandates are failing our kids and undermining parental rights.
Michelle knows what matters to rural Colorado because she lives it every day. While politicians chase headlines, our families are being left behind on issues like education, agriculture, energy, water, and public safety. Michelle will be a strong, local voice at the Capitol - not for the political class, but for the hardworking people of District 60. She’s one of us - and she’ll fight for us.
In House District 60, access to quality healthcare isn’t a luxury - it’s a lifeline.
Our small towns and farming communities rely on local hospitals, clinics, and dedicated providers who understand our way of life. But too often, rural healthcare gets left behind in Denver's decisions.
We need to invest in keeping care close to home so families don’t have to drive hours for a checkup, a prescription, or an emergency. Healthy communities are strong communities, and it’s time we stand up for the care rural Colorado deserves.
Michelle Gray isn’t a politician - she’s a mom and a teacher who’s seen what’s really happening in our schools. After years in the classroom, she knows student achievement is suffering while political agendas take priority over learning.
When bills like HB25-1312 try to strip away parental rights, Michelle stands firm: parents, not the state, should have the final say in their children’s education.
She’s running to restore:
I stand for the full and uncompromising protection of the Second Amendment, not just as a constitutional right, but as a God-given freedom that shall not be infringed. The right to defend ourselves, our families, and our property is fundamental to our liberty and non-negotiable.
Colorado’s radical attempts to erode this freedom, like HB25-003, which amounts to a de facto gun registration scheme, are unacceptable. These laws do nothing to protect law-abiding citizens and everything to punish responsible gun owners.
Michelle will fight to repeal HB25-003 and every other infringement that disrespects our rights, burdens our sheriffs, and threatens our rural way of life.
As your State Representative, Michelle won’t bend, compromise, or look the other way when our rights are under attack. The Second Amendment means what it says.
